The Brazilian Adventist Community of New York has served the city for more than 50 years, blessing lives and sharing God’s goodness. With approximately 150 people attending our weekly meetings, we are a welcoming and diverse family.
By uniting for a greater cause, we can accomplish extraordinary things. The “It’s Good to Do Good” Social Project reflects our commitment to transforming lives and promoting hope by addressing physical, mental and spiritual health in a holistic way.
It is with joy that we share this phase of the project: raising funds to complete the structure of our basement facilities. This work is crucial to the expansion of our services, allowing us to carry out various projects with children, food distribution, social services and more. Every donation brings us one step closer to a better future for our community and those around us.

COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIONS:
Mini Doctor’s Office:
We propose the creation of a mini medical office to serve immigrants with difficulties accessing health care. With the help of volunteer professionals, we will offer treatments and guidance on healthy habits. We need a special room equipped for this purpose.
Language School:
The “Hope English School” project in partnership with a school, aims to meet the needs of the immigrant community to learn English. We need funding for equipment and to support a full-time teacher.
Food Bank:
Our goal is to expand food distribution to serve more people in need. We need to add more equipment, such as refrigerators and cabinets, and complete structural items in our building to accomplish this goal.
Pathfinders:
The Pathfinder’s Club has been promoting the holistic development of children and adolescents for over 60 years, being present in several countries. We need funds for uniforms, camping equipment and support for children, especially those from immigrant families.

As the Word of God says: “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be given to you; for with the measure with which you measure it will be measured to you”
